LaneSprint

Pricing and terms

What does LaneSprint charge?

A percentage of each hauled load's gross: 7% while your MC is under 6 months, 5% for one truck after that, and 4% for two or more trucks (a limited-time rate). The percentage doesn't change with your equipment.

Are there any other fees?

No setup fee, no onboarding fee, no monthly minimum and no charge for packet setup, detention claims or reports. If the truck doesn't haul, you don't pay anything that week.

How long is the agreement?

Month-to-month. You can end it with 30 days notice, for any reason. You'll read the written agreement before your first load.

Do box trucks or hotshots pay a different rate?

No. Every equipment type pays the same tiers. Only your authority age and the number of trucks we dispatch change the percentage.

Starting as an owner-operator

Who do you dispatch?

Owner-operators and small fleets running under their own authority, from 26 ft box trucks up to tractor-trailers and heavy haul. We don't dispatch cargo vans, sprinters or anything shorter than a 26 ft box.

I drive for a company. Can you help me?

Not with dispatch, since your carrier already dispatches you, and we don't hire drivers. Our career guides and tools are free if you're planning the move to your own truck.

Do I get to choose my loads?

Always. We bring each load to you with the lane, rate and times. You confirm or pass. When you confirm, the broker sends the rate confirmation directly to you.

Can I start with a brand-new MC?

Yes. The fee is 7% for the first 6 months, and we focus on brokers that accept new authorities while your record builds.

How getting started works

Paperwork brokers ask for

What documents do you need from me?

Your authority letter, a W-9, a certificate of insurance brokers will accept, your truck and trailer details, and your notice of assignment if you factor.

Why won't brokers approve my packet?

The usual causes are an authority that isn't active yet, an insurance filing that hasn't posted with FMCSA, names or addresses that don't match across documents, or a broker's minimum authority age.

Do I need a drug testing program?

If your truck requires a CDL, yes: as an owner-operator you're both employer and driver and must be in a random testing pool. If your truck doesn't need a CDL, the DOT testing rules in Part 382 don't apply.

Who handles check calls and BOLs?

We handle check calls with brokers. You send photos of signed BOLs and PODs after delivery so billing or factoring goes through cleanly.

The new carrier checklist

Freight factoring

Do you factor invoices?

No. We refer carriers who want factoring to our partner, RTS Financial, and may be paid for the referral. Your rates and terms come from them.

Do I have to factor to use your dispatch?

No. Factoring is optional. Many carriers wait for brokers to pay on their own terms; others factor to cover fuel and insurance while they wait.

Can dispatch and factoring work together?

Yes. Your notice of assignment goes into every carrier packet we send, so brokers pay your factoring company directly and nothing gets misdirected.

How do I get a factoring quote?

Fill out the three-step factoring quote form. We pass it to our partner, who contacts you about rates, advance and terms.
